Yvonne Oppenheimer, MBA
Yvonne was awarded a Master of Business Administration from Alvernia College, Reading, PA in 2001. This MBA focused on nonprofit administration and community development leadership. Her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Communications from Alvernia College was awarded magna cum laude in 1995. Yvonne draws from an extensive background and lengthy experience in business as an administrative assistant reporting to senior executives of medium to large accounting firms in New York City, and for a major commercial construction firm, and The World Bank in Washington, DC. At the Rainbow Home of Berks County, a personal care home for persons with AIDS in the active and advanced stages, Yvonne served as Director of Social Work Services with the primary responsibility to develop the agency's first case management program providing in-house social work services to the residents. Severe cuts in government and other funding resources redirected her effort on behalf of the agency towards development and fundraising. Through-on-the-job experience, an advanced academic degree, and professional training from the Association for Fundraising Professionals, Yvonne drafted and implemented a development plan, policies and procedures that helped make up for the cuts sustained as a result of diminishing funding resources.
