Statement of Ethical Standards
CAPITAL VENTURE SM supports the Donor Bill of Rights and encourages client organizations to display this document in their offices. CAPITAL VENTURE SM also adheres to the Standards of Professional Practice of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Association of Philanthropic Counsel.
 
CAPITAL VENTURE SM upholds the Model Standards of Practice for the Charitable Gift Planner of the National Committee of Planned Giving as well as the Code of Ethics of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement.
 
CAPITAL VENTURE SMconsultants represent and warrant to client organizations to the best of their knowledge and understanding that they have complied, and will continue to comply, with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
 
CAPITAL VENTURE SM recognizes the client organization’s sole ownership of all its donor and prospect information and will not sell, exchange, or give that information to any person or group outside of the client organization.
 
CAPITAL VENTURE SM reserves the right to not enter into any contractual agreement with an organization whose mission is not in conformity with the AFP Code of Ethics, or which otherwise does not meet the ethical standards of CAPITAL VENTURE SM.
 
CAPITAL VENTURE SM will register as fundraising counsel with the appropriate regulatory agencies for each client served and those regulatory authorities will approve all contracts.
 
CAPITAL VENTURE SM does not discriminate on the basis of age, religion, ethnic background, national origin, race, class, gender, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation or veteran status.
