I’ve been watching the March of the Penguins and thinking about the word, ‘resiliance.’ I think it describes not only penguins, but also many nonprofit leaders who struggle with increased demand for services, loss of funding sources, and challenges in finding good people to work for their organizations, both staff and volunteers.
I believe that the organizations and leaders who survive are those that have a clear mission; staff, board members, and volunteers who are passionate about this mission; and a diversified funding plan.
What do you think?
If yours is a resilient organization, or you consider yourself a resiliant leader, tell us why.
If you are not, tell us what you need to become one!
