Software Resource Directory

CAPITAL VENTURE is planning to offer a  new service to our readers. We receive a  number of requests for references to donor software systems and would like to make it easier for our friends who are comparing software systems. We are establishing a Software Resource Directory which will list various donor software systems, and provide a directory of organizations that are using each type of software as well as a list of organizations that are willing to share their experience with others. Please take a minute to complete our very brief (five quick questions) survey, and if you are willing to serve as a resource to others who are researching software systems, please leave your name and email address when you complete the survey.  If you complete the survey, whether or not you are willing to serve as a resource, you will receive a 10% discount on our Fundraiser’s Private Vault, or our eBook, Capital Campaigns: Everything You Need to Know.  Those who are willing to serve as a resource will receive a complimentary one year membership to the Fundraiser’s Private Vault. The survey will close on February 20, 2010.

We are pleased to be a contributor to this website which offers tools that you may not be able to find on the CAPITAL VENTURE website, so check it out. Alan Sharpe is a direct mail expert so there are lots of tools for direct mail appeals to be found on the Expert Fundraiser website.

Planning a Program on Development/Fundraising?

If you are a member of a local AFP chapter or association of nonprofits, and are responsible for planning programs for the next year, Linda Lysakowski, ACFRE is available for speaking engagements at chapter meetings or workshops. I am finalizing my 2010 speaking schedule and have openings for both monthly chapter meetings and keynote addresses at conferences. For topics and fees contact Linda@cvfundraising.com. Our workshops are approved for CFRE credit: A catalogue listing 90 minute, half day, full day and two day workshops is available. Book signings can be arranged at any of these workshops or meetings, and members of your chapter or association will receive a discount on all books sold.

Publishing News

We have recently published the revised edition of our eBook, Capital Campaigns: Everything You Need to Know, which is available on our website . If you are planning a capital campaign, you will want to check this out. This book will be published in hard copy writing the next few months, so watch our website for the release date. My other book to be published by CharityChannel Press very soon is Fundraising as a Career: What are you Crazy? So watch for this one too.

Calling All Authors

Response to our call for authors has been tremendous.
