Capital Campaign Pre-Planning Workshop
 
Are You Ready for a Capital Campaign?
Is your organization contemplating a capital campaign in its future? Our campaign experts will conduct a pre-planning workshop for your board and staff to lay a solid foundation for success. This planning workshop is held in the early stages of your process. Our team of consultants will come to your facility, work with your board and staff to develop an action plan to take you to the next step.
Typical Agenda

8:00 - 8:30........... Welcome & Introductions
8:30 - 10:00......... Organizational & Program Audit - Who Are You & What Do You Do?
During, this session, there will be an interactive discussion about the organizational strengths and weaknesses relating to program, board governance, and staffing. Participants will complete the first part of the Campaign Readiness Audit questionnaire during this session.
10:00 - 10:15 Break
10:15 - 11:45 Facilities Audit --Where Do You Do It and Where Will You Do It?
During this session, discussion will revolve around the faculties and finances of the organization, answering the questions of how much space is needed, where the facility is and where it will/should be located, and how much it is likely to cost to build or renovate current facilities. The second part of the Campaign Readiness Audit questionnaire is answered during this session.
11:45 - 12:30 Lunch
12:30 - 2:00 Constituency Audit—Who Are Your Donors & How Are You Perceived By Them?
In this session, participants will discuss the organization's past giving history, the perceptions their donors have and how they can build on their annual giving programs during a capital campaign. A discussion on the planning study and how it can help assess donor acceptance of the project will take place.
2:00 - 3:30 The Plan --Where Do We Go Next?
Participants will be guided through developing a plan of action for the organization to take them into the capital campaign. This plan will include a timetable for engaging a construction manager, architect, fundraising consultant, and staff. Steps will be outlined from approving the capital campaign and implementing a planning study to the final victory celebration & donor recognition.

Follow Up Consultation
Within a month of the workshop our consultants will schedule a follow up call to assist you with implementing your plan.
