John's experience includes behavioral health care, small business
development and non-profit management.
He has served as Executive Director of a drug and alcohol treatment
center where he managed a $2.8 million budget and 38 employees. The
agency's core services included a 28 adult bed residential treatment,
social model detoxification, high intensity residential, low intensity
residential, adult and adolescent outpatient treatment, drug courts,
comprehensive mental health evaluation, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
prevention programs, substance abuse and violence prevention programs,
domestic violence and anger management, gambling, nicotine and methamphetamine
treatments. The facility, approved by the Joint Commission of Accredited
Behavioral Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), provided drug and alcohol,
and gambling counseling services.
